To all new visitors and old friends, may we extend a warm welcome to you. Prior to development and in a previous life, The Ugly Duckling Country Restaurant was the skittle alley of a public house which gives it an individual layout and is an establishment that is popular within the local community and to those who live further afield. Before becoming head chef, Peter Teague was the only chef in the forest locality to have been awarded 2 AA rosettes for food quality and with a great front of house and kitchen team (who already have an award for Best Restaurant under their belt) The Ugly Duckling Restaurants philosophy, is to offer good food simply cooked. The team enjoy delivering an excellent, yet affordable dining experience and where possible, the menus incorporate local seasonal produce. To those who are yet to visit us, please peruse our site and we look forward to welcoming you at The Ugly Duckling Restaurant in the near future.

Car parking is available at the rear of the building or in the free public car park adjacent to the Rugby Club, and the restaurant is fully accessible for all. The Ugly Duckling Restaurant is a non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant providing a welcoming, child-friendly atmosphere with value for money food and a wide selection of wines, beers and spirits.
